Dale Whitaker started Summit Roofing in 2009 after one too many Denver hailstorms brought a wave of out-of-state storm chasers who collected the insurance check and disappeared before the first leak showed up. He'd grown up watching the Front Range get hammered every spring, and he was tired of seeing neighbors stuck with rushed tear-offs and decking that was never inspected. So Summit was built around the opposite: a local crew, a real phone number, and a drone photo report of every slope handed to the homeowner whether they hire us or not. Today we're GAF Master Elite certified - the top few percent of roofers in the country - and we still tear off to the deck, replace the rotted plywood the cheap bids skip, and back every full replacement with a 25-year workmanship warranty in writing. Dale still answers the storm line himself, because a roof that's leaking at 2 a.m. can't wait until Monday.
